FAQ

Below we've listed a couple of the most frequently asked questions, and our answers. If you can't find what you're looking for, please don't be afraid to Contact us! We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

HOW LONG AFTER THE WEDDING SHOULD IT TAKE BEFORE WE WILL RECEIVE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?

We usually send out teaser photos or "previews" 1-2 weeks after the day. We ask our clients to allow us at least 4 weeks of editing time for the whole amount. Larger weddings can take between 6-8 weeks. Peak times in the year (summer months) can incur a longer wait.

WHAT IS YOUR SHOOTING STYLE?

I prefer to shoot more candidly, and capture what I like to call the "behind-the-scenes" moments. However, there are the more traditional poses incorporated. It really comes down to the client's individual style.

DO YOU TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS IN COLOUR, BLACK & WHITE, OR BOTH?

It really comes down to the client's request, but usually I like to provide a good mix of both. I usually advise clients that close-ups and photographs with more detail can look better in black and white.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

We always check weather reports leading up to, and the day of the event to make sure we are fully prepared for any outcome. If there is rain, we will ensure there is an indoor location in which to take important photographs, or if we have time provide umbrellas for the bride and groom.

CAN MY GUESTS TAKE THEIR OWN PICTURES?

That really comes down to personal preference for the couple. Some ask guests to not snap away during specific parts of the day, such as the ceremony. I am happy for guests to take their own photographs, as long as it does not interfere with my work. So, no leaning into my shot, or flashes going off during crucial moments. I've found guests overall to be very considerate to what I'm doing, and happy to step aside when needed.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION/POSTPONEMENT POLICY?

You have up to 6 weeks before the event to cancel, and dependent on availability to postpone to a later date. I will always try to re-book you in if circumstances need be.

WILL MY WEDDING BE THE ONLY WEDDING YOU WILL BE SHOOTING THAT DAY?

Yes, I make it a policy to only book in one wedding per date, so that I have absolute focus on your special day, and no time restrictions.

CAN I REQUEST CERTAIN IMAGES TO BE TAKEN?

Of course! In fact I encourage my clients to look into sites and apps such as Pinterest for inspiration on what they'd like their wedding style to be. That way we can bounce ideas off of each other, and I have a greater understanding of how to achieve exactly what you want from your photos.

HOW MANY PHOTOS SHOULD I RECEIVE FROM MY WEDDING?

Usually, I aim to give at least 300-400 professionally edited photographs. There may be more, dependent on the hours worked, and the elements of the day.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?

Clients receive all images, professionally edited, on a USB drive. This is then placed in a lovely presentation box, along with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco/Champagne and a free gift for the Bride & Groom! Albums, canvases and photo books are available to order.
